Ukraine officially recognizes a new sport – “Military-technological”

The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine has officially recognized military-technology sport as a new non-Olympic sport.

Military technology sport combines competitions in four areas: Drone and robotic control on land, water, air and cyberspace. Participants will be able to demonstrate their skills in such disciplines as:

racing;
interception;
reconnaissance
target engagement at different distances;
combined missions.

This sport will allow engineers, analysts, programmers, and drone operators to improve their skills, and beginners and students to gain practical experience. Another great opportunity, which is very important nowadays, is that veterans will be involved. They will be able to use their skills acquired during the war to teach young people and test new developments.

GATA supports sports and does not stand aside. We will invite our partners to explore and participate in this sport. We also plan to involve public organizations of veterans and military with disabilities, who also have extensive experience. In this way, we will help veterans to be a necessary and integral part of society and help to train and educate young people using our own experience. We believe that Ukrainian athletes in this sport will achieve great success and glorify our great country on the world stage.” #GATA
